The Photo-Magie camera was a camera manufactured between 1855 and 1860 in France by Alphonse Giroux, a cabinetmaker who years before this camera built the first commercial daguerreotype camera. He was Daguerre's own brother-in-law and collaborated with Charles Chevalier (he put optics to the cameras that Alphonse built). It is a box type camera for wet plates where the set included chemicals for the preparation of the photographs. A piece of early photographic history.
