This is a popular in the years 1820-1850 optical toy. The device was based on the Daguerre-diorama. The device receives a hand-colored lithographic map is perforated with small holes and a hidden addition of color. 6 lithographic cards in postcard format (some cards have small cracks) and six round with adapter cards and packaging (with text). Added punctures light when the light source moves from front to back. Very witty in those days. The box itself is connected to an accordion section for focusing. Illustration card is inserted into the back of the box and is held to the light. In this way, the viewer can filter light for a day or night light. This Polyorama Panoptique is rare and certainly the letters that accompany it. The six round cards with adapter, are even very rare. The device is still in an incredibly beautiful condition. Folding device size: 16 X 18 cm Card Format: 10x14cm
