It is a litofanía, which is not a projection light through a semitransparent film in which a volume has been modeled. The variation of the thickness image makes vary the opacity of the film, is precisely what thanks to the light we can see the image in chiaroscuro. Such bajograbados originally modeled in wax, which then pass on to sheets of very fine china. This technique, already used in the eighteenth century, was used among other things for the manufacture of decorative objects such as cups or lamps .... The litofanía bloomed in Germany and France, spreading rapidly throughout Europe in the nineteenth century. Our litofanía is precisely dated in the nineteenth century, a lit instead of the back you can see a scene of young offering flowers to a religious image.
