KPM Berlin. Vase in the style of an amphora, decorated with glazed in dark blue and gold frosted, height 13 inches, with 8 photographs of portraits. One side of the vase shows a young family, father, mother, son and daughter, the other side shows the same group 10 years later. In a way safe but not demonstrative, photographs of porcelain have a family group in harmony with the function of the vase as I remember and work of art - an incarnation of the period Wilhelmino, with its sense of proportion and admiration of the classical era. The twelve year old son looking too bold with his uniform child is a poignant reminder today to the observer military concerns of the time and the coming decades.
