The EOS 1000N is a more recent review of the Canon EOS line of SLR 1000 35mm cameras launched in 1992. In the Americas the most basic without flash models are called EOS Rebel II. A date version is also available as EOS Rebel QD II. Versions with camera flash are called EOS 1000FN while the American version is called EOS Rebel S II or often written with no spelling as EOS Rebel Roman S2. Date version of Flash is available as EOS 1000FN QD. In Japan it is known as EOS 1000S QD or with a panoramic option as EOS 1000S QD-P. Improvements in these models regarding the EOS 1000 is a new shutter capable of reaching a speed of 1 / 2000s. The autofocus speed has also improved with more accurate and rapid response. The film advance and rewind mechanization have also been changed with a significant reduction of audible noise. The Mode dial also contains an SF setting: for a soft approach. This feature takes 2 exposures on the same frame. The first exhibition is focused and the second is smooth. The soft setting can be adjusted in two steps. A strange and unusual feature is the automatic timer that can play four different strokes during the countdown.
