This is the Panophic, a panoramic camera with 140 ° swing lens manufactured in Japan (ca.1963) by Panox Co, a related company with Panon Camera. That is the case ready. Panon Camera Shoko was a small Japanese camera manufacturer, founded by Shozo Nakayama in 1952. The company is best known as a maker of panoramic cameras Widelux. The Widelux and its predecessor Panon, using a lens that rotates through a horizontal arc, projecting an image on a film gate cylindrical [1] The principle is similar to Kodak Panoram series which started in 1899, and was horizont emulated by cameras (for 135 format) and Noblex (120 format). Panon was the name of the original panoramic camera company 1952 to 120 films. In 1958, the company introduced the FV Widelux, which used 35mm film (135), and underwent several updates model (the latest model F8, ceased production around 2000). In 1987 Panon again provide a model for film 120, the Widelux 1500, but production ended when the factory caught fire to mid 90 [2] The company closed its doors around 2005. [3].
