This piece takes the basic design of the old Victorians grafoscopios / stereoscope and adapts to teach students artists to copy an image accurately. The article is constructed robustly in metal and is designed to deploy. The image to be copied is hung from the arm of vision and then you sign a light through the back of the lens / mirror while looking through the opening, this will throw an image on the basis of the machine which has placed his sketchpad and can draw the image - the machine comes with its original instructions booklet and some pre-drawn images. The basis measured about 8 inches X 6 inches and the arms are raised approximately 7 inches. The set, I would say, goes back to the 40s and 50s is in very good original condition - the box has internal adhesive tape on top, but still solid and the graphics and colors remain vibrant. A quirky and interesting design that will probably never be realized, but it would still be a very interesting and useful luck piece for a student or art collector.
