This camera was presented at first as the camera Falcon Press Flash, launched by the company Utility Manufacturing, New York. The name became Spartus in 1941 with the purchase of the company by the Utility Spartus Camera Corporation of Chicago. Throughout its history it has also had other names such as Regal Master Flash or Flash Galter Press, although the model has not submitted any variation. This camera model was marketed for 16 years, from 1934 to 1950. Its operation is really simple: a trigger that functions shutter and just below a small lever that allows selecionar an additional opening, depending on whether the day was sunny or cloudier. Above the trigger, on top of the camera is space for batteries (AA format but narrower than current), flash and a small viewfinder. This camera uses Bakelite medium format film 120 and No. bulbs 0 or No. 40. This model enjoyed great success among the press photographers, because its frame 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inches (5.71 x 7.62 cm) were a perfect size for them and negative that size was not necessary to expand.
