The model presented here is the first of the lineage Samoca 35. Japanese cameras at the time were generally quite sophisticated (Canon, Minolta) and inspired by European models. The Samoca 35 is more innovative in its simplicity and compactness. It is hard to find (probably less than 10,000 copies made), its successors 35 II and 35 III are much more common.
