Exa II is an SLR camera 35 mm film manufactured by Ihagee Kamerawerk Steenbergen & Co, Dresden, Germany former East and produced between 1960 and 1963 with an amount of 88,700 units. It is in the long-running series SLR Ihagee Exa. Exa II line was introduced before Exa I, in 1959, and was fabricated simultaneously with the first models Exa, then Exa I to 1963, to be replaced by Exa IIa and later IIb. The prism is permanently fixed with a smooth glass and the camera has a shutter focal plane that runs vertically regularly. Wind lever is not as smooth as Exa Ia, probably due to a different mechanism of sealing. The shape, size and weight of the body are similar to those of Exa I line, and feel and finish are somewhat better.
