Bencini Comet original cameras are cameras viewer for 3x4 or 4x4 images in 127 cm films made in Italy by CMF Bencini from 1948 to the 1950s are smaller versions of the range of 120 films Bencini Koroll, solidly built from molding with backing plate. Its controls are limited to instant shutter (1/50 seconds) or a obturador'B 'and (in most models) to a focusing lens. The Comet III (discussed in its own separate page) is a camera of unusual vertical (horizontal images so providing 3x4 cm when upright). The house Bencini was founded with the name ICAF in 1937 in Milan, by Antonio Bencini. Shortly after World War II the company name changed to CMF and later in 1946 the company name changed to CMF Bencini, going from early 50s to Bencini SPA the Italian brand continued to design and manufacturing cameras prestige until 1984 , time after which became Cafer Ltd.
