This stereoscopic viewer desktop works and is in the state it was found. The display has a full complement of cards that includes a scene of battlefield"" Dordrecht, South Africa."" The wooden body has a beautiful color depth and patina over the years, however, there is the usual scratches, scratches and marks of use expected of a well-used article of this age. The wood has no cracks or crevices and moldings socket are in good condition. It seems to lack a molding around the lenses of the stereo. I tried to show the state in photographs. The two covers the top of the display are fastened properly open and close well. No cracks or chips on the lens or frosted glass plate back. The focus knob zooms lenses gently. The internal mechanism appears to be operational and turns right when the lateral knobs are rotated. The two brass handles on the sides can be spare parts. Measures 45 cm (17 3/4 inches) high and measures 27 cm (10 3/4 inches) by 27 cm (10 3/4 inches) in the socket bottom.
