35mm camera with molten metal AIDS viewer for taking pictures of 25x25 mm in rolls of 32 mm paper backed" AIDS" was made in 1936 by AIDS Gesellschaft fur Photographische Apparate m.b.H., Berlin, Germany. Extra AIDS was a variant of Bakelite. Bakelite particular variants were also made by" Sida Cameras Ltd." in London, Britain and Guiseppe Pozzoli in Milan, Italy. The camera had a simple shutter speed one instantaneously (~ 1 / 50sec) and bulb (B), a meniscus lens f / 8 35 mm, a small optical viewfinder and a red window. Sida company in Germany was founded by Fitz Kaftanski, but he avoided being mentioned in official documents for registration of the company since 1934 in Germany. I had to be careful because the German anti-Jewish laws of the time. So a company manager MINIFEX of Kaftanski and another colleague became Sida registered heads. 1935 the company was sold. After the war Kaftanski AIDS revived the camera as Sidax which was produced in Paris, France.
