Those who may know Barcelona probably know that Exposure universal in Barcelona in 1929, closed on July 15, 1930, became a real driving force in the modernization of the city . The holding of the exhibition began an urban and architectural process that transformed Barcelona in which we currently know and left as legacy for the city a lot of palaces, pavilions and several buildings : The Greek Theater, Spanish village, the Olympic Stadium, the palaces of Alfonso XIII and Victoria Eugenia, the Pavilion of the City of Barcelona, the Press House, the Venetian Towers, the Fountain of Jujol, etc. Unfortunately many of these buildings disappeared after the closure and others were demolished in the twentieth century. Other testimonies of this important exhibition were the reform of the Gothic Quarter, the aslfaltado streets and new lighting, operation of the new subway lines and the invention of the tour bus would later be copied by London.

The huge poster of our collection (measured 182x92cms) is composed of two sheets unassembled and was created by José Rojas Assens (1897-1990), it is a lithograph showing a resounding" macer" (medieval figure with a defensive club who headed the royal motorcades and municipal) of the city of Barcelona and after figure highlights the beautiful skyline of the city of Barcelona at the time.
