The Pentax AF PC35 was the first compact 35mm camera with autofocus Pentax launched in 1982. Its name gave rise to a range of PC Pentax cameras. Also available is a version Date Pentax AF PC35. The first examples are made in Japan, and later the production moved to Hong Kong. It is available in black and green camouflage. They were also sold together with the accessory motor film advance Winder PC35 in silver, red and black. There later in 1984 with mechanical winding (PC35 AF-M), a date function (AF-M PC35 Date) and a model special edition in 1985 (PC35 AF-M SE). The target of 35 mm f / 2.8 is protected by a sliding cover releasably pressing a small tab on the right side of the cover. The lens is able to focus from 0.7 m to infinity. There is an exposure compensation button at the top of the camera changes to +1.5 EV exposure. The camera can use film 25-400 ASA / ISO. Not no reading DX and film speed is set at the base of the camera with a slide switch under the objective. The ASA / ISO stops are 25, 32, 40, 50, 64, 80, 100, 125, 160, 200, 250, 320 and 400. The film is advanced with a thumbwheel. Numbers exposure counters are blank, but the numbers 0, 20, 24, 26 are in orange. To rewind the film is necessary to release the tension of the film with a button and turn crank up the film rewinding in the base metal.
